Baidew's easy biscuit cake.

Well I am not really a cooking person but with a family with a rather sweet tooth :).  I have now  started enjoying experimenting with desserts.

My two elder sisters are excellent cooks, I ended up as food taster when I was young! I did not mind trying out such awesome cooking. My eldest sister who we call 'Baidew' (Assamese word for elder sister) I still remain a big fan of her desserts even now.

I do not like spending too much time in the kitchen so my recipes are really easy and quick to make.
I wanted to dedicate this post to Baidew for introducing me to the world of desserts and this is the first recipe I learnt from her and has always been a hit every time. Hope you will enjoy it too!

I have no hard and fast rule for the measurements used as it all depends on one's taste.
The ingredients I used here are:

Cream (I keep the tin for recycling them into beautiful candle holders. Maybe I will share a post in the future :))
Biscuits(you can try it out with any of them from Marie biscuits to Graham Crackers)
Chocolate syrup.
Coffee.
Sugar

Method:
Whip up the cream with a tsp of sugar in a bowl and keep aside.
Boil half a cup of water with 1/2 tsp of coffee powder added to it.
Take a biscuit at a time using a pair of tongs to dip it in the coffee water just for a second or two  else you will have the mushy biscuit in the coffee :)
Keep on spreading a layer of them is a bowl.

Now comes the layering part:
Spread the whipped cream on top of this biscuit layer.

Add another layer of biscuits and add a chocolate syrup layer to it. You can have as many layers as you want. I usually finish it off with the cream layer so that I can decorate it up with the chocolate syrup.

This I believe the easiest and yummiest dessert :)
Till your next visit here Cheers!
